Koshare Indian Museum

This elderly building in downtown La Junta houses an impressive collection of Native American artifacts and art. Dancers perform American Indian dances on summer evenings. Arrive early for seats with the best view of the performance.

Potter Park

The Pueblo Chieftan called the skate park in Potter Park, “a most excellent gathering place”. The shady cottonwoods, green lawns, big, new playground, picnic tables, outdoor swimming pool in summertime, and relaxed feeling make this a wonderful place to get out of the car and take a break from traveling.
